Testbirds: BayBG and Wachstumsfonds Bayern invest 7 million euros
Munich, June 2018. The Munich-based software company Testbirds GmbH is continuously on a growth course and receives further investments in the amount of seven million euros in a fourth round of financing. The testing specialist was able to win BayBG Bayerische Beteiligungsgesellschaft and Wachstumsfonds Bayern, which is managed by Bayern Kapital, as new investors. Existing investors Seventure Partners, Extorel and b‑to‑v have also participated in the current round. The million-dollar sum will be invested in the international expansion of the Testbirds team and in the development of new technologies.
With 100 employees, offices in several European countries and an international crowd of over 300,000 registered testers, as well as an innovative technology, the Munich-based start-up, founded in 2011, tests websites or apps for their clients for freedom from errors, usability and acceptance. “We are very pleased that we were able to gain the trust of two new investors and convince them of our business model. The IT service provider counts numerous renowned companies among its customers, for example Deutsche Telekom, Audi, Deutsche Post, Henkel, Payback, n‑tv and Western Union. In addition to crowdtesting, the company also offers cloud-based services for testing software applications.
