Main Capital acquires Wanko and FleetGO for new logistics software group
Frankfurt a.M. — Main Capital Partners acquires Wanko Informationslogistik GmbH and FleetGO Group. The two companies will be merged under the name FleetGO Group to form a new comprehensive logistics software group. The management of both companies took a minority stake in the transaction. McDermott Will & Emery advised Main Capital Partners on both transactions. A team led by Norman Wasse and Dustin Schwerdtfeger advised Main Capital first on the acquisition of Wanko Informationslogistik GmbH and subsequently on the acquisition of FleetGO Group.
Wanko Informationslogistik is a logistics software partner for route planning, warehouse management and telematics, founded in 1972. FleetGO provides modern telematics solutions for companies. Founded in 2010, the company maintains offices in Düsseldorf and Istanbul in addition to its headquarters in Hattem, the Netherlands. Both companies have a substantial and well-established track record as market leaders in their respective sectors. They both focus on the supply chain software market in Germany and the Netherlands respectively.
Main Capital Partners is a strategic investor focused on enterprise software in Benelux, DACH and Scandinavia. The company manages assets of around 2.2 billion euros.
The McDermott team led by partners Norman Wasse and Dustin Schwerdtfeger, which is particularly experienced with software and tech transactions, has already advised Main Capital on various transactions and financings, most recently on the acquisition and financing of FormSolutions and DataPlan by machgruppe, Audimex by Swedish portfolio company Blika Solutions, and Cryptshare AG by its portfolio company Pointsharp. Just recently, the team also advised on the dual transaction to acquire Plato and IQS.
