Weil advises MKM owners on takeover by KME
Frankfurt a. M. / Munich — The Frankfurt and Munich offices of the international law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP have advised the owners of MKM Mansfelder Kupfer und Messing GmbH on the acquisition of the company by the KME Group. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The closing of the transaction is subject to antitrust clearance by the EU competition authorities and is expected to take place in the fourth quarter of 2018.
MKM Mansfelder Kupfer und Messing GmbH, based in Hettstedt, Germany, is a leading European manufacturer of copper and copper alloy intermediates and semi-finished products.
The KME Group is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of copper and copper alloy products. The company is part of the Italian IntekGroup Spa and is based in Osnabrück.
