Weil advises INVEN CAPITAL on further financing round in Cloud&Heat Technologies
Frankfurt a. M./ Dresden — The Frankfurt office of the international law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP has advised INVEN CAPITAL on a further investment in the Dresden-based company Cloud&Heat Technologies GmbH. In addition to INVEN CAPITAL, the London-based investor ETF Partners also participated in this new financing round of EUR 10 million.
Cloud&Heat Technologies is a technology company that designs, builds and operates environmentally friendly, water-cooled, public and private data centers (also as containerized solutions) for cloud computing. Thanks to a unique solution, up to 90 percent of the server waste heat is used for heating and hot water generation in office buildings.
INVEN CAPITAL is the venture capital fund of the Czech energy provider ČEZ Group. With a market capitalization of more than 10 billion euros, the listed ČEZ Group is one of the ten largest energy companies in Europe.
Weil’s Frankfurt office already advised INVEN CAPITAL on the first financing round of Cloud&Heat Technologies GmbH in May 2017. Weil is also active on behalf of ČEZ Group, a long-time client of the firm, most recently on the acquisition of Elevion Group from DPE Deutsche Private Equity as well as on a number of the firm’s acquisitions in the German wind energy sector.
