BWK joins QLOCKTWO with Menold Bezler
Stuttgart/ Schwäbisch Gmünd — Menold Bezler advised BWK GmbH Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft, based in Stuttgart, on the acquisition of a minority stake of 40% in QLOCKTWO Group, based in Schwäbisch Gmünd.
At QLOCKTWO, word clocks have been turned into design objects in an artisanal production process since 2009. The time is displayed typographically with luminous dots, and the language of the clock is variable. The design has won over 30 international awards, including the Red Dot Design Award. Worldwide sales are handled by a network of around 1,000 specialist retail partners, the company’s own flagship stores and the online store.
BWK is one of the largest German capital investment companies. With a long-term investment approach, BWK supports medium-sized companies from a broad range of industries with equity capital.
Menold Bezler advised BWK on its entry as a minority shareholder in all legal aspects of the transaction. BWK regularly trusts the law firm when acquiring majority or minority stakes, most recently, for example, in the minority stake in the manufacturer of automated measuring and testing technology Xactools GmbH.
