Project A Ventures continues to invest in Casavo, Dalma and Root Global
Berlin — Berlin-based fund Project A Ventures recently participated in the Series D financing round of Italian real estate platform Casavo. The funding has a total volume of € 400 million, consisting of a € 100 million equity financing and € 300 million from debt capital and thus represents the largest fundraising for a PropTech company in Europe. The financing round was led by Exor, a holding company run by the Agnelli family that makes a variety of investments ranging from publishing (e.g., The Economist) to automotive brands (e.g., Ferrari and Stellantis) to soccer clubs (Juventus). In addition to Project A Ventures, Greenoaks, 360 Capital, P101 SGR, Picus Capital and Bonsai Partners also participated. — YPOG advised venture capital investor Project A Ventures on this and the following two rounds of financing.
Project A Ventures also invested in French pet insurance platform Dalma. The Series A financing round has a total volume of € 15 million
and was led by Northzone, with further participation from Project A Ventures and Anterra Capital. Existing investors Global Founders Capital and Frst as well as Kima Ventures also participated again.
The venture capital investor also led the seed funding round of Berlin-based startup Root Global. Root Global’s mission is to make the Carbon OS
of the food industry. The financing has a total volume of € 2.5 million. In addition to Project A Ventures, investments were also made by Nucleus Capital and several business angels such as Mengting Gao, Andreas Berger, Max Viesmann, Markus Windisch, Michael
Brinkmann and Mario Götze.
