Weil advises KKR on acquisition of majority stake in heidelpay
Munich/ Frankfurt a. Main — The Munich and Frankfurt offices of the international law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP have advised KKR on the acquisition of a majority stake for more than €600 million in the German FinTech company heidelpay (Heidelberger Payment GmbH) from AnaCap Financial Partners. The closing of the transaction is subject to the approval of BaFin and other regulatory authorities as well as customary closing conditions. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Founded in 2003 and based in Heidelberg, the heidelpay Group is one of the fastest growing full-service providers of electronic payment services in Europe.
