YPOG advises investors on € 8.6 million round of GEMESYS
Berlin — YPOG provided comprehensive legal advice to the lead investors Amadeus APEX Technology Fund and Atlantic Labs as well as the investor NRW.Bank in the € 8.6 million pre-seed financing round of the AI hardware start-up GEMESYS. The Sony Innovation Fund and the Silicon Valley-based Plug and Play Tech Center also participated in the round. Founded in Bochum in 2021, the start-up offers an analog chip design based on the same
information-processing mechanisms as the human brain. This enables providers
of AI hardware to sell a new type of chip that trains neural networks 20,000 times more energy-efficiently
than current technologies. With the new funding, GEMESYS will advance its research and expand its team,
to further develop its novel chip architecture.
