DIV acquires 38 percent of Cellnex Netherlands
Bonn — DIV establishes the independent infrastructure fund Digital Infrastructure Vehicle (DIV) and acquires 38 percent of Cellnex Netherlands for this purpose. SMP provided comprehensive tax advice on the establishment of the independent funds vehicle (DIV) and tax advice on the anchor investment in Cellnex Netherlands.
In the future, DIV will focus on investments in digital infrastructure projects (fiber, towers and data centers) primarily in Europe. Deutsche Telekom and Cellnex stand ready as anchor investors.
DIV’s anchor investment is the acquisition of a 38% stake in Cellnex Netherlands, in which Deutsche Telekom and Cellnex combine their tower business in the Netherlands.
